Final Fantasy XII is a role-playing game (RPG) produced by Square Enix for PlayStation 2. The game was released on March 16, 2006 in Japan. Released for North America is scheduled in October 2006. Releases for Europe and Australia, has not been determined. On 15 November 2005, a playable demo packaged with releases of game, Dragon Quest VIII for North America. Although not a direct continuation of Final Fantasy games before, Final Fantasy XII presents the concepts introduced in Final Fantasy Tactics series.

On March 16, 2006, the game is reviewed by Famitsu, and became the sixth game received a perfect score 40/40, but it's the first Final Fantasy game for the PlayStation 2, which received the award. He also ranked second degree Yasumi Matsuno for a perfect score, under the Vagrant Story.

Plot

Final Fantasy XII depicts the living of the world called Ivalice, an era "is something that ordinary magic" and "aircraft filled the sky." Ivalice divided into three continents; Ordalia, Valendia and Kerwon. Rozarria kingdom located in Ordalia, and kingdom Archadia in Valendia. The battle of two kingdoms have been involved Dalmasca, a country that lies between these two kingdoms.

Characters

Vaan

A young 15-year-old orphan who lost both parents due to war. He also lost an older brother named Reks are slain in battle during the attack which resulted in the death of the royal Archadia Rasler (Ashe's husband) and the collapse of the kingdom of Dalmasca.

Penelo

Penelo lives in Rabanastre, as well as Vaan. She established a close friendship with Vaan, and the background of her life is also not much different from Vaan. She lost her family in the war, but remained cheerful spirit and life.

Balthier

A man with no nationality who worked as an air pirate. He was an air pirate who robs from the idealist and just bad people. He has a working partner of the race Viera named Fran.

Fran

A woman who is more than 100 years old, but because she comes from the Viera race, he included an ageless creature than the human race. She is an expert archery, have a strong physical strength, high posture, and the instinct which is far above human capabilities.

Basch fon Ronsenburg

Basch is a general of Dalmasca nation strong and courageous, have a high wisdom nature. He was vilified as a rebel, for killing the king of Dalmasca.

Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca

Ashe is a woman widowed by her husband due to war. She was the daughter of the king of Dalmasca, and the only successor to the throne of the kingdom of Dalmasca. She preached had committed suicide after the death of a husband and father.
